Kenny's Roast & Grill

Location: Powerplant Mall, Rockwell in Makati
My Take: I would say, this is a more classy version of the Kenny Rogers fast food chain. We were supposed to try Pepper Lunch, but the line was too long, and I was too tired of looking for other restos. Then just beside PL, there's this. We decided to try it out. The place is spacious, clean (and clean looking), the price of the meals are ok (not that expensive, but not that cheap, though). Nothing really spectacular with the food, its just that maybe, because of the ambiance, you'll get to appreciate this resto.. plus the fact that the service crew are nice and has pleasing personality. I would say that the taste of the food is just similar to the ordinary KR outlet we see in other malls.

House of Minis

Location: Julia Vargas, Ortigas
My Take: The place is cozy. I never imagined it to be cozy. Fit for dates, or family dinners. We ordered Porterhouse steak (regular) and Steak Ala Pobre (mini). It's actually affordable, because for less than 400 each, you'll get a complete meal - soup, dinner rolls, salad, the main course, dessert. Minus the drinks. It was one hearty meal that'll definitely leave you full.

Bagoong Club

Location: Sct. Lazcano, Tomas Morato, Quezon City
My take: The place exudes a homey feeling. The airconditioned portion of the house is small so limited guests can be accommodated. The non-aircon area - either near the zen-type garden is nice, but may be inconvenient especially during summer. They could've extended the airconditioned room in this portion, anyway, there's already an open area, almost at the garage-side of the house. The rest room is clean as well.. Anyway, the food's great. The Bagoong is really delicious. They have generous serving. My dad and I tried the litson kawali and kare kareng gulay. Their sawsawan is bagoong - bagoong balayan style for the pork.. and the delicious bagoong alamang for the kare kare. The price? It's affordable :)

Gelare

Gelare
Jamaican Chocolate Gelato

Choco Fudge Brownie Gelato

Location: One Fullerton (near the Merlion/Esplanade) in Singapore
My Take: Because I was not able to find my $1 ice cream, out of frustration and desperation, my boyfriend decided to treat me to Gelare (where the server's Pinay as well). For $5, it ain't bad at all. The flavors we tasted is ohh so yummy. If we were able to find Ben & Jerry's, we would've eaten ice cream there (either chunky monkey or cherry garcia or choco fudge brownie), but since there was no available B&J store, we opted to enter this place. Not bad for a first timer, and not bad for $5 :)

Bongo Burgers

Bongo

Nuggets and Fries

Jumbo Hotdog

Lamb burger

Location: Night Safari (Singapore Zoo), Singapore (there's one in Jurong Bird Park as well)
My Take: A bit pricey (the price ranges from SG$8 or 11 up). But then again, just don't convert them to Peso and just enjoy the food. The serving's big, and will be served to you in no time. The taste would have to be similar to the other burgers we know, except for the fries dip which comes with catsup and not too sure if its tomato(salsa) or curry. But it does tastes good :)

Food Republic

nasi lemak

beef and chicken satay

mixed dumplings
mixed dumplings

chili wings

their version of fresh lumpia

nasi lemak

Location: Vivo City in Singapore
My Take: This is like their version of food court, only better (unlike the typical Kopitiam found in some of the malls in SG). They have big servings and food tastes good as well. Value for the money? Never mind, just buy the food for a few SG dollars and do not convert them to Peso anymore, you won't get hurt :)

Sanctuario

Location: Tagaytay City (near the rotonda)
My take: An under-rated resto, this place is one cool resto. Maybe because Sanctuario's situated near the rotonda. Something you wouldn't really mind or notice at first. Maybe if this is at Tagaytay's prime spot (well, I don't know how else to call it), people would really go here and try out their food. The antique-inspired resto has a feel-good aura on it. It's homey and has friendly staff to boast. The place offers unique set of meals, at, I would say, reasonable price. Their version of sinigang na bulalo will really leave you asking for more. It's unique, and it's uber-delicious. The beef tapa tips is also a hit. I think it would be best to suggest this place to other people who loves going to Tagaytay, like I do. :)

Bag of Beans

Location: Tagaytay City
My take: Place is cozy - serene and quiet. I love the nature-trippin' mode of the place, kinda reminds me of Sonya's garden. Anyway, the price is a bit high, though, you'll get the value of your money back with the food they offer. The serving's big and the food tastes good... at reasonable price. The rest rooms are also clean, which is a good thing. The garden spot is cool. A must try for couples dating, or even friends and family bonding. If you decide to come visit the place, please try the Filipino Breakfast meal :)

Chili's

Location: Greenbelt 5, Makati City
My Take: The relocation is A-ok. I mean, the place is new (compared to the old one in Greenbelt 1). It still has the same resto-theme, but the spot is a good one. The view from the outside is lovely as well, they have wider space this time. The food's great, too, by the way, though I find it kinda pricey. The healthy, guiltless chicken meal (see picture above) will leave you full, but not feeling too sinful. Everything else is just almost the same taste, style and price(?) as what you would have with other American-themed restos around... e.g. TGI Fridays...

Lagrotta Cucina Italiana

Pollo Di Aromatica

Spaghettini Con Funghi

Location: Rufino St., Makati City
My Take: Set in a sorta-private place, you wouldn't know it's there.. The place is cozy, almost ideal for dating or even qt. The food's great also, though, I find it too pricey. We tried the Pollo di Aromatica pizza with slices of chicken breasts, pepper and some herbs. Healthy. It tastes good and won't leave you bloated even after several slices. The Spaghettini Con Funghi something (I forgot the last word on the name) has wild mushroom and parmesan on it. It tastes a bit salty, though, but it's pretty much a healty pasta. It's good for one, but can also be shared by two, depends on your appetite. We decided to split the pasta into two, anyway, we ordered a 12'' pizza, sliced into 8.
